Hello! I’m Kira! Life can feel overwhelming, and you don’t have to handle it alone. I want to provide you with a space where you feel truly supported. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your needs. Regardless of what challenges you’re navigating, I want therapy to be a space for growth, authenticity, and curiosity. I also integrate humor when appropriate, because I believe that creating meaningful change doesn’t require constant heaviness.

Currently, I am pursuing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Cincinnati. Being a counseling student means that I approach my work with compassion, care, and a strong commitment to doing things well. In the past, I have worked primarily with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. I also have had the privilege of being the Administrative Assistant here at Cincinnati Center for DBT for the past year, which has given me the opportunity to learn a lot about DBT. Working behind the scenes has allowed me to develop a deeper familiarity with and appreciation for how DBT can be used to support clients throughout their therapeutic journey. While these two roles are distinct, my goal in each role remains the same: to help clients feel supported, understood, and confident in their care.

Starting therapy is a big step, and it’s okay to feel unsure of where to begin. Reaching out can feel vulnerable and scary, but I want to be there to walk alongside you and support you every step of the way!
